Altea    (fruit, veg and general goods) A very large market situated alongside the beachfront with plenty of restaurants and bars near by. The market is only a few minutes walk from the railway station. One of the better markets.

Benidorm Very large general market. Long walk from station, get a cab.

 

 

 

Most shops are closed between 14:00 and 16:30.

Alkabir

 

There is a small shop on the complex which sells most of your basic food and drink requirements. Fresh bread can be bought daily 

 

Campello

There is a number of supermarkets such as Lidl Kiwk Save (English groceries) and Mercadona. Mercadona will deliver any bulky shopping for a small charge.  There is a hypermarket in San Juan called Carrefore. This is on the N332 towards Alicante. Open 10:00 until 22:00. Note Closed on Sundays. There are a number of smaller shops that sell everything from Antiques to tobacco.

Benidorm

A very cosmopolitan town with a variety of shops, ranging from Zara Clothes shop to Booze shops (best place to buy drink to take home. Many brands available in plastic bottles. Keeps the weight down and less problems if they break)Old town is a good place to buy souvenirs

Finestrat

La Marina has Fashion shops (Zara, Mango etc), Footwear, Accessories, perfume and sports shops to mention just a few.

Alicante

All the shopping you would expect from a major city. Try and visit El Corte Inglés department store. One of the largest department stores in Spain.
