Chemist (Farmacia)

There are several in Campello but check opening times. An English speaking chemist can be found at the "Mistral" apartment complex which is situated on the lower road to Campello, over the bridge then on the right-hand side just before the yachting marina

Banks

There are many banks in Campello which will change Euro Cheques, Travellers Cheques or Cash (You must have you passport with you). Banks are open Monday - Friday 09:00 - 14:00. There are several Cash points in and around Campello that can be used if your bank card has a Cirrus or Visa logo. Charges do apply but are not extortionate sometimes the exchange rate can be quite favourable. Check with you bank to see if your card will work.

Postage Stamps

Stamps can be purchased from the post office in Campello or from most tobacconists shops.

Calling Home

Dial 0044, dial the area code leaving off the fist number 0, then your number. There was a minimum connection charge of 3 € at the last check.

General Advice

When going carry your passport at all times (or preferably a colour photocopy of it)

When travelling by car be sure to wear you seatbelt (or face and instant fine). Ensure that you lock all valuables out of sight each time you leave the vehicle.

Be very careful with personal possessions especially wallets and credit cards. Never put your hand bag down especially in supermarkets and markets, not everyone is as honest as you! Be extra vigilant when anyone asks you for change or directions BE SUSPICIOUS you have been warned! As unfashionable as they may seem we recommend you wear a bum bag instead of carrying a hand bag wherever possible because it always stays with you and is not so easy to put down.

Shopping

If you wish to make any purchases with a credit card in Spain you must carry your passport or photo driving license. Shops will not accept credit card payment without some form of official identification.

Internet Cafe

There is an Internet cafe in El Campello. It can be found on the main road through Campello: San Bartolomé. It is located on the right hand side opposite Lidl and Solbank when travelling towards San Juan.
